Real Change In Society Must Start From Individual Initiative.

We Can Live Without Religion And Meditation, But We Cannot Survive Without Human Affection.

An Open Heart Is An Open Mind.

Women Have The Capacity To Lead Us To A More Peaceful World With Compassion, Affection, And Kindness.

Yet Even The Rich Have Their Own Kind Of Suffering, Anxiety, Doubt, And Fear. So In Many Cases, Wealthy People Aren't Happy! And Once Those With Material Wealth Encounter Small Difficulties, Their Amount Of Mental Suffering Is Sometimes Bigger Than It Is For Those Who Have Faced Such Difficulties Every Day.

If There Were Really Serious Consequences If I Did Not Accept, Then Of Course I Would Do Whatever Was Necessary. But In General I Really Prefer Some Freedom.

Religion Is Important For Humanity, But It Should Evolve With Humanity. The First Priority Is To Establish And Develop The Principle Of Pluralism In All Religious Traditions. If We, The Religious Leaders, Cultivate A Sincere Pluralistic Attitude, Then Everything Will Be More Simple. It Is Good That Most Religious Leaders Are At Least Beginning To Recognize Other Traditions, Even Though They May Not Approve Of Them. The Next Step Is To Accept That The Idea Of Propagating Religion Is Outdated. It No Longer Suits The Times.

The Problem Isn't Materialism As Such. Rather It Is The Underlying Assumption That Full Satisfaction Can Arise From Gratifying The Senses Alone. Unlike Animals Whose Quest For Happiness Is Restricted To Survival And To The Immediate Gratification Of Sensory Desires, We Human Beings Have The Capacity To Experience Happiness At A Deeper Level Which, When Achieved, Can Overwhelm Unhappy Experiences.

Anger And Hatred Cannot Bring Harmony. The Noble Task Of Arms Control And Disarmament Cannot Be Accomplished By Confrontation And Condemnation. Hostile Attitudes Only Serve To Heat Up The Situation, Whereas A True Sense Of Respect Gradually Cools Down What Otherwise Could Become Explosive. We Must Recognize The Frequent Contradictions Between Short-term Benefit And Long-term Harm.

Through Money Or Power You Cannot Solve All Problems. The Problem In The Human Heart Must Be Solved First.

If Science Proves Some Belief Of Buddhism Wrong, Then Buddhism Will Have To Change.

Scientists Are Coming To Recognise The Effects Of The Mind On Physical Health. The Sense Of Relaxation Associated With Inner Peace Involves Not Only Being Physically At Ease. If You Are Nagged By Worry Or Seething With Anger, You’re Not Really Relaxed. The Key To Relaxation Is Peace Of Mind. The Relaxation Gained From Alcohol, Drugs Or Just Listening To Music May Seem Attractive, But It Doesn’t Last.

Whether We Like It Or Not, We Have All Been Born Into This World As Part Of One Great Human Family. Rich Or Poor, Educated Or Uneducated, Belonging To One Nation Or Another, To One Religion Or Another, Adhering To This Ideology Or That, Ultimately Each Of Is Just A Human Being Like Everyone Else. We All Desire Happiness And Do Not Want Suffering.

Compassion Is Of Little Value If It Just Remains An Idea. It Must Motivate How We Respond To Others And Be Reflective In All Our Thoughts And Actions

When The Days Become Longer And There Is More Sunshine, The Grass Becomes Fresh And, Consequently, We Feel Very Happy. On The Other Hand, In Autumn, One Leaf Falls Down And Another Leaf Falls Down. The Beautiful Plants Become As If Dead And We Do Not Feel Very Happy. Why? I Think It Is Because Deep Down Our Human Nature Likes Construction, And Does Not Like Destruction. Naturally, Every Action Which Is Destructive Is Against Human Nature. Constructiveness Is The Human Way. Therefore, I Think That In Terms Of Basic Human Feeling, Violence Is Not Good. Non-violence Is The Only Way.

It Seems To Me That Self Confidence And The Ability To Stand One's Ground Are Essential If We Want To Succeed In Life. I Am Not Talking Of Stupid Self-assurance But Of An Awareness Of Our Inner Potential, A Certainty That We Can Always Correct Our Behavior, Improve Ourselves, Enrich Ourselves, And That Things Are Never Hopeless

Some Feel That You Lose Your Independence If You Don't Let Your Mind Just Wander Where It Wants To, If You Try To Control It. But That Is Not The Case. If Your Mind Is Proceeding In The Correct Way, One Already Has The Correct Opinion. But If Your Mind Is Proceeding In An Incorrect Way, Then It's Necessary, Definitely, To Exercise Control.

There Is Nothing I Can't Live Without. I Learned This Attitude When I Was A Child.

Basically, Therefore, We Should Approach Others Openly, Recognizing Each Person As Another Human Being Just Like Ourselves. There Is Not Much Difference Between Us All.

If There Is A Solution To A Problem, There Is No Need To Worry. And If There Is No Solution, There Is No Need To Worry.

All Religion Teaches The Virtues Of Love, Altruism And Patience, While Showing Us How To Discipline And Transform Ourselves To Achieve Inner Peace And A Kind Heart. Therefore, They Are Worthy Of Our Respect.

Without Technology Humanity Has No Future, But We Have To Be Careful That We Don’t Become So Mechanised That We Lose Our Human Feelings.

It Is The Enemy Who Can Truly Teach Us To Practice The Virtues Of Compassion And Tolerance.

Foolish, Selfish People Are Always Thinking Of Themselves And The Result Is Always Negative. Wise Persons Think Of Others, Helping Them As Much As They Can, And The Result Is Happiness. Love And Compassion Are Beneficial Both For You And Others. Through Your Kindness To Others, Your Mind And Heart Will Open To Peace.

By Developing A Sense Of Concern For Others' Well-being, Then No Matter What Others' Attitudes Are, You Can Keep Inner Peace.

I Believe All Suffering Is Caused By Ignorance. People Inflict Pain On Others In The Selfish Pursuit Of Their Happiness Or Satisfaction. Yet True Happiness Comes From A Sense Of Inner Peace And Contentment, Which In Turn Must Be Achieved Through The Cultivation Of Altruism, Of Love And Compassion And Elimination Of Ignorance, Selfishness And Greed.

I Don't Take Myself Too Seriously! That Makes Me Happy.

The Death Penalty Fulfills A Preventive Function, But It Is Also Very Clearly A Form Of Revenge. It Is An Especially Severe Form Of Punishment Because It Is So Final. The Human Life Is Ended And The Executed Person Is Deprived Of The Opportunity To Change, To Restore The Harm Done Or Compensate For It.

Only The Development Of Compassion And Understanding For Others Can Bring Us The Tranquility And Happiness We All Seek.

For Those Who May Not Find Happiness To Exercise Religious Faith, It's Okay To Remain A Radical Atheist; It's Absolutely An Individual Right, But The Important Thing Is With A Compassionate Heart - Then No Problem.

It Is Important Not To Allow Ourselves To Be Put Off By The Magnitude Of Others' Suffering. The Misery Of Millions Is Not A Cause For Pity. Rather It Is A Cause For Compassion.

In Buddhism, Both Learning And Practice Are Extremely Important, And They Must Go Hand In Hand. Without Knowledge, Just To Rely On Faith, Faith, And More Faith Is Good But Not Sufficient. So The Intellectual Part Must Definitely Be Present. At The Same Time, Strictly Intellectual Development Without Faith And Practice, Is Also Of No Use. It Is Necessary To Combine Knowledge Born From Study With Sincere Practice In Our Daily Lives. These Two Must Go Together.

If You Have Peace Of Mind, When You Meet With Problems And Difficulties They Won’t Disturb Your Inner Peace. You’ll Be Able To Employ Your Human Intelligence More Effectively. Look At Children. Of Course They May Quarrel, But Generally Speaking They Do Not Harbor Ill Feelings As Much Or As Long As Adults Do. Most Adults Have The Advantage Of Education Over Children, But What Is The Use Of An Education If They Show A Big Smile While Hiding Negative Feelings Deep Inside? Children Don�t Usually Act In Such A Manner. If They Feel Angry With Someone, They Express It, And Then It Is Finished. They Can Still Play With That Person The Following Day.
