Whether One Is Rich Or Poor, Educated Or Illiterate, Religious Or Nonbelieving, Man Or Woman, Black, White, Or Brown, We Are All The Same. Physically, Emotionally, And Mentally, We Are All Equal. Basically, The Buddhist Attitude Is That You Should Not Accept Certain Things Through Sheer Faith. And For That You Need A Skeptical Attitude. Buddha Himself Made This Clear To His Followers. He Said You Should Not Accept Those Things I Taught Out Of Respect For Me, But Rather Through Investigation By Yourself.

Refraining From Harm, Not Out Of Fear, But Out Of Concern For Others, Their Well-being And Out Of Respect Is Non-violence.

Many People And Companies Only Have One Goal: Money, Money, And More Money. Greed Is Ok When You Let Others Profit From It, But Greed For Oneself Is Bad, It Makes You Ill.

The Purpose Of Our Lives Is To Be Happy. We Live In Hope, Which Means Looking Forward To Something Good. And There Are Increasing Scientific Findings That Both Our Physical And Mental Well-being Depend On Our Peace Of Mind.

Self-discipline, Although Difficult, And Not Always Easy While Combating Negative Emotions, Should Be A Defensive Measure. At Least We Will Be Able To Prevent The Advent Of Negative Conduct Dominated By Negative Emotion. That Is 'shila', Or Moral Ethics. From This It Becomes Clear That "my" Interest And "your" Interest Are Intimately Connected. In A Deep Sense, They Converge.

To Conquer Oneself Is A Greater Victory Than To Conquer Thousands In A Battle.

A Genuine Transformation That Results From Sustained Concerted Effort Is Long Lasting Because It Has A Firm Foundation.

All Religions Try To Benefit People, With The Same Basic Message Of The Need For Love And Compassion, For Justice And Honesty, For Contentment. So Merely Changing Formal Religious Affiliations Will Often Not Help Much. On The Other Hand, In Pluralistic, Democratic Societies, There Is The Freedom To Adopt The Religion Of Your Choice. Just As You Have The Instinctive Natural Desire To Be Happy And Overcome Suffering, So Do All Sentient Beings; Just As You Have The Right To Fulfill This Innate Aspiration, So Do All Sentient Beings. So On What Exact Grounds Do You Discriminate?

As People Alive Today, We Must Consider Future Generations: A Clean Environment Is A Human Right Like Any Other. It Is Therefore Part Of Our Responsibility Toward Others To Ensure That The World We Pass On Is As Healthy, If Not Healthier, Than We Found It.

According To Buddhist Psychology Most Of Our Troubles Stem From Attachment To Things That We Mistakenly See As Permanent.

The Colors Of Light Are Infinite Through Refraction, Yet They All Come From The Same Source. Thus I Cannot Detach Myself From The Wickedest Soul, Nor Fail To Identify With The Most Virtuous.

They Outdo Us In Every Field. But They Have No Justice. We Have Placed Our Whole Faith In Truth And In Justice. We Have Nothing Else, In Principle And In Practice.

Giving Material Goods Is One Form Of Generosity, But One Can Extend An Attitude Of Generosity Into All One's Behavior. Being Kind, Attentive, And Honest In Dealing With Others, Offering Praise Where It Is Due, Giving Comfort And Advice Where They Are Needed, And Simply Sharing One's Time With Someone - All These Are Forms Of Generosity, And They Do Not Require Any Particular Level Of Material Wealth.

Because We All Share This Planet Earth, We Have To Learn To Live In Harmony And Peace With Each Other And With Nature. This Is Not Just A Dream, But A Necessity.

When We Are Angry We Are Blind To Reality. Anger May Bring Us A Temporary Burst Of Energy, But That Energy Is Blind And It Blocks The Part Of Our Brain That Distinguishes Right From Wrong. To Deal With Our Problems, We Need To Be Practical And Realistic. If We Are To Be Realistic, We Need To Use Our Human Intelligence Properly, Which Means We Need A Calm Mind.

Let Us Have That Kind Of Effort From All, Except Those Child Or Handicapped Or Too Old. But The Many People, They Sort Of Have The Opportunity To Create Trouble Or To Create A Good Thing, Now Should Think More Seriously, Should Not Indulge Any Work To Create More Problems.
