We Can Imagine Two Types Of Spirituality: One Tied To Religion, While The Other Arises Spontaneously In The Human Heart As An Expression Of Love For Our Neighbors And A Desire To Do Them Good.

A Lack Of Transparency Results In Distrust And A Deep Sense Of Insecurity.

Learn And Obey The Rules Very Well So You Will Know How To Break Them Properly.

Since We Became Buddhist, We Have Lived In Peace With Them. We Did Not Invade Them. We Did Not Want Them To Invade Us. We Have Never Declared War On China.

Democratic Institutions Are Necessary And Very Important, And If I Remained At The Head Of Government, It Could Be An Obstacle To Democratic Practice. Also, If I Were To Remain, Then I Would Have To Join One Of The Parties. If The Dalai Lama Joins One Party, Then That Makes It Hard For The System To Work.

We Discover That All Human Beings Are Just Like Us, So We Are Able To Relate To Them More Easily. That Generates A Spirit Of Friendship In Which There Is Less Need To Hide What We Feel Or What We Are Doing.

A Compassionate Attitude Opens Our Inner Door, And As A Result It Is Much Easier To Communicate With Others. If There Is Too Much Self-centered Attitude, Then Fear, Doubt And Suspicion Come And As A Result Our Inner Door Closes. Then It Is Very Difficult To Communicate With Others.

I Feel They Should Be Discussed Informally, Truthfully, Honestly, And In Some Cases, I Think, Without Forgetting ... Long-term Vision. They Should Be Practical.

Of Course, There Are Different Truths On Different Levels. Things Are True Relative To Other Things; "long" And "short" Relate To Each Other, "high" And "low," And So On. But Is There Any Absolute Truth? Something Self-sufficient, Independently True In Itself? I Don't Think So.

In The Modern World, The Interests Of A Particular Community Can No Longer Be Considered To Lie Within The Confines Of Its Own Boundaries.

To Develop Genuine Devotion, You Must Know The Meaning Of Teachings. The Main Emphasis In Buddhism Is To Transform The Mind, And This Transformation Depends Upon Meditation. In Order To Meditate Correctly, You Must Have Knowledge.

There Are Differences Between Us. But It Doesn't Make Sense To Emphasize That, Because My Future And Yours Is Connected With Everyone Else's. So We Have To Take Seriously Our Concern For All Of Humanity. When We Focus On Our Individuality, Humanity Inevitably Suffers. And Once Humanity Suffers, Each One Of Us Will Also Suffer.

If We Human Beings Rely Only On Material Development, We Can’t Be Sure Of A Positive Outcome. Employing Technology Motivated By Anger And Hatred Is Likely To Be Destructive. It Will Only Be Beneficial If We Seek The Welfare Of All Beings. Human Beings Are The Only Species With The Potential To Destroy The World. Because Of The Risks Of Unrestrained Desire And Greed We Need To Cultivate Contentment And Simplicity.

Many Tibetans Sacrifice Their Lives.

A Calm Mind Is Good For Our Physical Health, But It Also Enables Us To See Things More Realistically.

To Remain Indifferent To The Challenges We Face Is Indefensible. If The Goal Is Noble, Whether Or Not It Is Realized Within Our Lifetime Is Largely Irrelevant. What We Must Do Therefore Is To Strive And Persevere And Never Give Up.

Ultimately, The Reason Why Love And Compassion Bring The Greatest Happiness Is Simply That Our Nature Cherishes Them Above All Else. The Need For Love Lies At The Very Foundation Of Human Existence.

The Ultimate Source Of Happiness Is Not Money And Power, But Warm-heartedness

I Am Increasingly Convinced That The Time Has Come To Find A Way Of Thinking About Spirituality And Ethics Beyond Religion Altogether.

The Future Will Be In The Hands Of Those Of You Who Belong To The 21st Century. You Have The Opportunity And Responsibility To Build A Better Humanity. In The Final Analysis, The Hope Of Every Person Is Simply Peace Of Mind.

Every Human Should Have The Idea Of Taking Care Of The Environment, Of Nature, Of Water. So Using Too Much Or Wasting Water Should Have Some Kind Of Feeling Or Sense Of Concern. Some Sort Of Responsibility And With That, A Sense Of Discipline.

It Is Important To Reflect On The Kindness Of Others. Every Aspect Of Our Present Well-being Is Due To Others' Hard Work. The Buildings We Live And Work In, The Roads We Travel, The Clothes We Wear, And The Food We Eat, Are All Provided By Others. None Of Them Would Exist But For The Kindness Of So Many People Unknown To Us.

We Can Only Transform Humanity And Create A Happier More Compassionate World Through Education.

We Can't Blame The Entire Muslim Society Because Of The Mischievous Acts Of A Few Individuals. Therefore, At The General Public Level We Must Cultivate The Notion Of Not Just One Religion, One Truth, But Pluralism And Many Truths. We Can Change The Atmosphere, And We Can Modify Certain Ways Of Thinking.

Everything Is Interconnected. My Interest Is Linked To Everyone Else's. Our Survival And Future Are Linked. Therefore The Destruction Of Your So-called Enemy Is Actually The Destruction Of Your Self.

Compassion Suits Our Physical Condition, Whereas Anger, Fear And Distrust Are Harmful To Our Well-being. Therefore, Just As We Learn The Importance Of Physical Hygiene To Physical Health, To Ensure Healthy Minds, We Need To Learn Some Kind Of Emotional Hygiene.

Remember That The Best Relationship Is One In Which Your Love For Each Other Exceeds Your Need For Each Other.

If We Can Manage To Refrain From Harming Others In Our Everyday Actions And Words, We Can Start To Give More Serious Attention To Actively Doing Good, And This Can Be A Source Of Great Joy And Inner Confidence. We Can Benefit Others Through Our Actions By Being Warm And Generous Toward Them, By Being Charitable, And By Helping Those In Need.

The Challenge Today Is To Convince People Of The Value Of Truth, Honesty, Compassion And A Concern For Others.

Sensory Experience Does Not Offset The Intense Pain Or Pleasure We Feel On A Mental Level; It May Distract Us, But Doesn't Overcome It. On The Other Hand, If We Have Peace Of Mind, Even Negative Experiences Do Not Upset Us. Peace Of Mind Is Also Good For Our Physical Health. Medical Experts Have Found That Anger, Hatred And Fear Eat Into Our Immune System. Being Calm And Relaxed Is Better For Our Physical Well-being.

Just Give Food Without Showing Affection, [animals] Might Not Get Sort Of 100% Satisfaction. So They Also, You See, When We Human Beings, We Show Affection, The Poor Animal Also Respond To Us.

Therefore, Buddhism Strongly Discourages Blind Faith And Fanaticism.
