Being Wise Selfish Means Taking A Broader View And Recognizing That Our Own Long-term Individual Interest Lies In The Welfare Of Everyone. Being Wise Selfish Means Being Compassionate.

Humans Are Not Machines-we Are Something More. We Have Feeling And Experience. Material Comforts Are Not Sufficient To Satisfy Us. We Need Something Deeper-human Affection.

A Good Motivation Is What Is Needed: Compassion Without Dogmatism, Without Complicated Philosophy; Just Understanding That Others Are Human Brothers And Sisters And Respecting Their Human Rights And Dignities. That We Humans Can Help Each Other Is One Of Our Unique Human Capacities.

One Can Overcome The Forces Of Negative Emotions, Like Anger And Hatred, By Cultivating Their Counter-forces, Like Love And Compassion.

In The Past, Destruction Of Your Neighbour Might Have Been Considered A Victory, But Today We Are All Interdependent. We Live In A Global Economy; We Face Problems Like Climate Change That Affect Us All. The 7 Billion Human Beings Alive Today Belong To One Human Family. In The Context That Others' Interests Are In Our Interest And Our Interest Is In Their Interest, The Use Of Force Is Self-destructive.

A Learned Person Will Become Noble Only When He Or She Has Put Into Real Practice What Has Been Learned, Instead Of Mere Words.

We Can Solve Many Problems In An Appropriate Way, Without Any Difficulty, If We Cultivate Harmony, Friendship And Respect For One Another.

Look At Children. Of Course They May Quarrel, But Generally Speaking They Do Not Harbor Ill Feelings As Much Or As Long As Adults Do. Most Adults Have The Advantage Of Education Over Children, But What Is The Use Of An Education If They Show A Big Smile While Hiding Negative Feelings Deep Inside? Children Don�t Usually Act In Such A Manner. If They Feel Angry With Someone, They Express It, And Then It Is Finished. They Can Still Play With That Person The Following Day.

The Various Features And Aspects Of Human Life, Such As Longevity, Good Health, Success, Happiness, And So Forth, Which We Consider Desirable, Are All Dependent On Kindness And A Good Heart.

Unlike An External Enemy, The Inner Enemy Cannot Regroup And Launch A Comeback Once It Has Been Destroyed From Within.

Whether You Call It Buddhism Or Another Religion, Self-discipline, That's Important. Self-discipline With Awareness Of Consequences.
