It Is Possible To Know All About Doctrine And Yet Not Know Jesus. The Soul Is In Danger When Knowledge Of Doctrine Outsteps Intimate Touch With Jesus. ....have I A Personal History With Jesus Christ? The One Sign Of Discipleship Is Intimate Connection With Him, A Knowledge Of Jesus Christ Nothing Can Shake.

The Main Characteristic Which Is The Proof Of The Indwelling Spirit Is An Amazing Tenderness In Personal Dealing, And A Blazing Truthfulness With Regard To God's Word.

Ask God For What You Want, But You Cannot Ask If You Are Not Asking For A Right Thing. When You Draw Near To God, You Cease From Asking For Things."your Father Knows What Things You Have Need Of, Before You Ask Him." Then, Why Ask? That You May Get To Know Him.

Think Of The Enormous Leisure Of God! He Is Never In A Hurry. We Are Always In Such A Frantic Hurry. In The Light Of The Glory Of The Vision We Go Forth To Do Things, But The Vision Is Not Real In Us Yet; And God Has To Take Us Into The Valley, And Put Us Through Fires And Floods To Batter Us Into Shape, Until We Get To The Place Where He Can Trust Us.... Let Him Put You On His Wheel And Whirl You As He Likes, And As Sure As God Is God And You Are You, You Will Turn Out Exactly In Accordance With The Vision. Don't Lose Heart In The Process.

If We Are To Be Ready For Jesus Christ, We Have To Stop Being Religious (that Is, Using Religion As A Higher Kind Of Culture) And Be Spiritually Real.

I Am Called To Live In Such A Perfect Relationship With God That My Life Produces A Yearning For God In The Lives Of Others, Not Admiration For Myself. Thoughts About Myself Hinder My Usefulness To God. God’s Purpose Is Not To Perfect Me To Make Me A Trophy In His Showcase; He Is Getting Me To The Place Where He Can Use Me. Let Him Do What He Wants.

There Is Actually Only One Thing You Can Dedicate To God, And That Is Your Right To Yourself. If You Will Give God Your Right To Yourself, He Will Make A Holy Experiment Out Of You - And His Experiments Always Succeed.

Do We So Appreciate The Marvelous Salvation Of Jesus Christ That We Are Our Utmost For His Highest?

There Is Only One Way By Which I Can Get Right With God, And That Is Through The Death Of Jesus Christ. I Must Get Rid Of The Underlying Idea That I Can Ever Be Right With God Because Of My Obedience. Who Of Us Could Ever Obey God To Absolute Perfection!

Faith For My Deliverance Is Not Faith In God. Faith Means, Whether I Am Visibly Delivered Or Not, I Will Stick To My Belief That God Is Love.

God Nowhere Tells Us To Give Up Things For The Sake Of Giving Them Up. He Tells Us To Give Them Up For The Sake Of The Only Thing Worth Having - Viz., Life With Himself. It Is A Question Of Loosening The Bonds That Hinder The Life.

Never Allow Anything To Divert You From Your Insight Into Jesus Christ. It Is The True Test Of Whether You Are Spiritual Or Not. To Be Unspiritual Means That Other Things Have A Growing Fascination For You. Many Of Us Suffer From Temptations From Which We Have No Business To Suffer.

Our Yesterdays Present Irreparable Things To Us; It Is True That We Have Lost Opportunities Which Will Never Return, But God Can Transform This Destructive Anxiety Into A Constructive Thoughtfulness For The Future. Let The Past Sleep, But Let It Sleep On The Bosom Of Christ. Leave The Irreparable Past In His Hands, And Step Out Into The Irresistible Future With Him.

Beware Of Any Work For God That Causes Or Allows You To Avoid Concentrating On Him.

It Is A Joy To Jesus When A Person Takes Time To Walk More Intimately With Him. The Bearing Of Fruit Is Always Shown In Scripture To Be A Visible Result Of An Intimate Relationship With Jesus Christ.

The Center Of Salvation Is The Cross Of Jesus, And The Reason It Is So Easy To Obtain Salvation Is Because It Cost God So Much.

The Historic Idea That The Devil Tempts Men Had This Remarkable Effect, It Produced The Man Of Iron Who Fought; The Modern Idea Of Blaming His Heredity Or His Circumstances Produces The Man Who Gives In At Once.

We Can Never Be Like Lillies In The Garden Unless We Have Spent Time As Bulbs In The Dark, Totally Ignored.

The Reason We See Hypocrisy And Fraud And Unreality In Others Is Because They Are All In Our Own Hearts. The Great Characteristic Of A Saint Is Humility-yes, All Those Things And Other Evils Would Have Been Manifested In Me But For The Grace Of God, Therefore I Have No Right To Judge.
