Wherever There Is Any Element Of Pride Or Of Conceit, Jesus Cannot Expound A Thing. He Will Take Us Through The Disappointment Of A Wounded Pride Of Intellect, Through Disappointment Of Heart. He Will Reveal Inordinate Affections-thin Gs Over Which We Never Thought He Would Have To Get Us Alone.

When We Are Abandoned To God, He Works Through Us All The Time.

We Look Upon Prayer Simply As A Means Of Getting Things For Ourselves, But The Biblical Purpose Of Prayer Is That We May Get To Know God Himself.

Quit Praying About Yourself And Spend Your Life For The Sake Of Others As The Bondservant Of Jesus. That Is The True Meaning Of Being Broken Bread And Poured-out Wine In Real Life.

It Is By No Haphazard Chance That In Every Age Men Have Risen Early To Pray. The First Thing That Marks Decline In Spiritual Life Is Our Relationship To The Early Morning.

Jesus Christ Out-socialists The Socialists. He Says That In His Kingdom He That Is Greatest Shall Be The Servant Of All. The Real Test Of The Saint Is Not Preaching The Gospel, But Washing Disciples' Feet, That Is, Doing The Things That Do Not Count In The Actual Estimate Of Men But Count Everything In The Estimate Of God.
