When You Pray, Things Remain The Same, But You Begin To Be Different. The Same Thing When A Man Falls In Love, His Circumstances And Conditions Remain The Same, But He Has A Sovereign Preference In His Heart For Another Person Which Transfigures Everything!

As Long As We Are Flippant And Stupid And Shallow And Think That We Know Ourselves, We Shall Never Give Ourselves Over To Jesus Christ; But When Once We Become Conscious That We Are Infinitely More Than We Can Fathom, And Infinitely Greater In Possibility Either For Good Or Bad Than We Can Know, We Shall Be Only Too Glad To Hand Ourselves Over To Him.

Many People Have Turned Back Because They Are Afraid To Look At Things From God's Perspective. The Greatest Spiritual Crisis Comes When A Person Has To Move A Little Farther On In His Faith Than The Beliefs He Has Already Accepted.

Worship Is Giving God The Best That He Has Given You.

Never Make A Principle Out Of Your Experience. Allow God To Be As Creative With Others As He Is With You.

At Times God Puts Us Through The Discipline Of Darkness To Teach Us To Heed Him. Song Birds Are Taught To Sing In The Dark, And We Are Put Into The Shadow Of God's Hand Until We Learn To Hear Him...watch Where God Puts You Into Darkness, And When You Are There Keep Your Mouth Shut. Are You In The Dark Just Now In Your Circumstances, Or In Your Life With God? Then Remain Quiet...when You Are In The Dark, Listen, And God Will Give You A Very Precious Message For Someone Else When You Get Into The Light.

Trust God, And Do The Next Thing.

It Is Impossible To Conduct Your Life As A Disciple Without Definite Times Of Secret Prayer

Jesus Christ Reveals, Not An Embarrassed God, Not A Confused God, Not A God Who Stands Apart From The Problems, But One Who Stands In The Thick Of The Whole Thing With Man.

Prayer Is The Exercise Of Drawing On The Grace Of God.

The Key To The Missionary's Work Is The Authority Of Jesus Christ, Not The Needs Of The Lost. We Are Inclined To Look On Our Lord As One Who Assists Us In Our Endeavors For God. Yet Our Lord Places Himself As The Absolute Sovereign And Supreme Lord Over His Disciples. He Does Not Say That The Lost Will Never Be Saved If We Don't Go- He Simply Says, "go Therefore And Make Disciples Of All The Nations...."

The Touchstone Of The Holy Spirit’s Work In Us Is The Answer To Our Lord’s Question: “who Do Men Say That The Son Of Man Is?” Our Lord Makes Human Destiny Depend On That One Thing, Who Men Say He Is, Because The Revelation Of Who Jesus Is Is Only Given By The Holy Spirit.

Service Is The Overflow Which Pours From A Life Filled With Love And Devotion.

Spiritual Lust--'i Must Have It At Once'--causes Me To Demand An Answer From God, Instead Of Seeking God Himself Who Gives The Answer. Is Today 'the Third Day' And He Has Still Not Done What I Expected? Whenever We Insist That God Should Give Us An Answer To Prayer We Are Off Track. The Purpose Of Prayer Is That We Get A Hold Of God, Not Of The Answer.

All Of God’s People Are Ordinary People Who Have Been Made Extraordinary By The Purpose He Has Given Them.

If We Simply Preach The Effects Of Redemption In The Human Life Instead Of The Revealed, Divine Truth Regarding Jesus Himself, The Result Is Not New Birth In Those Who Listen. The Result Is {only} A Refined Religious Lifestyle . . . We Must Make Sure That We Are Living In Such Harmony With God That As We Proclaim His Truth He Can Create In Others Those Things Which He Alone Can Do.

The Heart Of Salvation Is The Cross Of Christ. The Reason Salvation Is So Easy To Obtain Is That It Cost God So Much. The Cross Was The Place Where God And Sinful Man Merged With A Tremendous Collision And Where The Way To Life Was Opened. But All The Cost And Pain Of The Collision Was Absorbed By The Heart Of God.

Seeing Is Never Believing: We Interpret What We See In The Light Of What We Believe. Faith Is Confidence In God Before You See God Emerging, Therefore The Nature Of Faith Is That It Must Be Tried.

There Is No Joy In The Soul That Has Forgotten What God Prizes.

Why Shouldn’t We Experience Heartbreak? Through Those Doorways God Is Opening Up Ways Of Fellowship With His Son. Most Of Us Collapse At The First Grip Of Pain. We Sit Down At The Door Of God’s Purpose And Enter A Slow Death Through Self-pity. And All The So-called Christian Sympathy Of Others Helps Us To Our Deathbed. But God Will Not. He Comes With The Grip Of The Pierced Hand Of His Son, As If To Say, “enter Into Fellowship With Me; Arise And Shine.” If God Can Accomplish His Purposes In This World Through A Broken Heart, Then Why Not Thank Him For Breaking Yours?

Reflected Peace Is The Proof That You Are Right With God Because You Are At Liberty To Turn Your Mind To Him.

Nothing In Our Lives Is A Mere Insignificant Detail To God.

Watch The Things You Say You Can't Believe, And Then Recall The Things You Accept Without Thinking, Like Your Own Existence.
