It Cannot Be Stated Definitely What The Call Of God Is To, Because His Call Is To Be In Comradeship With Himself, For His Own Purposes, And The Test Is To Believe That God Knows What He Is After.

To Identify With The Death Of Jesus Christ Means That We Must Die To Everything That Was Never A Part Of Him.

Do Not Expect God Always To Give You His Thrilling Minutes, But Learn To Live In The Domain Of Drudgery By The Power Of God.

Beware Of Making A Fetish Of Consistency To Your Convictions Instead Of Being Devoted To God.

The Moral Miracle Of Redemption Is That God Can Put A New Nature Into Me Through Which I Can Live A Totally New Life.

We Think Rightly Or Wrongly About Prayer According To The Conception We Have In Our Minds Of Prayer. If We Think Of Prayer As The Breath In Our Lungs And The Blood From Our Hearts, We Think Rightly. The Blood Flows Ceaselessly, And Breathing Continues Ceaselessly; We Are Not Conscious Of It, But It Is Always Going On. We Are Not Always Conscious Of Jesus Keeping Us In Perfect Joint With God, But If We Are Obeying Him, He Always Is.

We Are Not Meant To Be Seen As God's Perfect, Bright-shining Examples, But To Be Seen As The Everyday Essence Of Ordinary Life Exhibiting The Miracle Of His Grace.

Our Understanding Of God Is The Answer To Prayer; Getting Things From God Is God's Indulgence Of Us. When God Stops Giving Us Things, He Brings Us Into The Place Where We Can Begin To Understand Him.

You May Often Have To Watch Jesus Christ Wreck A Life Before He Saves It.

We Must Keep Ourselves In Touch, Not With Theories, But With People. We Must Never Get Out Of Touch With Them If We Are Going To Use The Word Of God Skillfully Amongst Them And If The Holy Spirit Is To Apply The Word Of God Through Us.

When The Spirit Fills Us, We Are Transformed, And By Beholding God We Become Mirrors. You Can Always Tell When Someone Has Been Beholding The Glory Of The Lord, Because Your Inner Spirit Senses That He Mirrors The Lord’s Own Character. Beware Of Anything That Would Spot Or Tarnish That Mirror In You. It Is Almost Always Something Good That Will Stain It- Something Good, But Not What Is Best.

It Is Easier To Serve God Without A Vision, Easier To Work For God Without A Call, Because Then You Are Not Bothered By What God Requires; Common Sense Is Your Guide, Veneered Over With Christian Sentiment. You Will Be More Prosperous And Successful, More Leisure-hearted, If You Never Realize The Call Of God.

God Did Not Direct His Call To Isaiah— Isaiah Overheard God Saying, ". . . Who Will Go For Us?" The Call Of God Is Not Just For A Select Few But For Everyone. Whether I Hear God’s Call Or Not Depends On The Condition Of My Ears, And Exactly What I Hear Depends Upon My Spiritual Attitude.

Human Nature, If Healthy, Demands Excitement; And If It Does Not Obtain Its Thrilling Excitement In The Right Way, It Will Seek It In The Wrong. God Never Makes Bloodless Stoics; He Makes No Passionless Saints.

See That You Do Not Use The Trick Of Prayer To Cover Up What You Know You Ought To Do.

If Ever We Are Going To Be Made Into Wine, We Will Have To Be Crushed; You Cannot Drink Grapes. Grapes Become Wine Only When They Have Been Squeezed. I Wonder What Kind Of Finger And Thumb God Has Been Using To Squeeze You, And You Have Been Like A Marble And Escaped?

The Test Is The Sixty Seconds Of Every Minute, And The Sixty Minutes Of Every Hour, Not Our Times Of Prayer And Devotional Meetings.

We Are Not Responsible For The Circumstances We Are In, But We Are Responsible For The Way We Allow Those Circumstances To Affect Us; We Can Either Allow Them To Get On Top Of Us Or We Can Allow Them To Transform Us Into What God Wants Us To Be.

When I See Jesus Christ I Simply Want To Be What He Wants Me To Be.

Faith Never Knows Where It Is Being Led, It Knows And Loves The One Who Is Leading. Faith Is Not Resignation To A Power We Do Not Know; Faith Is Committal To One Whose Character We Do Know Because It Has Been Revealed To Us In Jesus Christ.

If I Am Going To Know Who Jesus Is, I Must Obey Him. The Majority Of Us Don't Know Jesus Because We Have Not The Remotest Intention Of Obeying Him.

Refusing To Be Disillusioned Is The Cause Of Much Of The Suffering Of Human Life. And This Is How That Suffering Happens-if We Love Someone, But Do Not Love God, We Demand Total Perfection And Righteousness From That Person, And When We Do Not Get It, We Become Cruel And Vindictive; Yet We Are Demanding Of A Human Being Which He Or She Cannot Possibly Give.

Many People Begin Coming To God Once They Stop Being Religious.there's Only One Master Of The Heart-jesus, Not Religion.

Our Lord Did Not Say It Was Wrong To Pray In The Corners Of The Street, But He Did Say It Was Wrong To Have The Motive To "be Seen Of Men".

The Christian Who Is Truly Intimate With Jesus Will Never Draw Attention To Himself But Will Only Show The Evidence Of A Life Where Jesus Is Completely In Control. This Is The Outcome Of Allowing Jesus To Satisfy Every Area Of Life To Its Depth.
