Repentance Always Brings A Person To The Point Of Saying, “i Have Sinned.” The Surest Sign That God Is At Work In His Life Is When He Says That And Means It. Anything Less Is Simply Sorrow For Having Made Foolish Mistakes-a Reflex Action Caused By Self-disgust.

The Crisis Will Reveal Whether We Have Been Practicing Or Not.

No Healthy Christian Ever Chooses Suffering; He Chooses God's Will, As Jesus Did, Whether It Means Suffering Or Not.

We Pray Pious Blether, Our Will Is Not In It, And Then We Say God Does Not Answer; We Never Asked Him For Anything. Asking Means That Our Wills Are In What We Ask.

It Is Better To Run The Risk Of Being Considered Indecisive, Better To Be Uncertain And Not Promise, Than To Promise And Not Fulfill.

If You Have Ever Prayed In The Dawn You Will Ask Yourself Why You Were So Foolish As Not To Do It Always: It Is Difficult To Get Into Communion With God In The Midst Of The Hurly-burly Of The Day.

The Deadliest Pharisaism Today Is Not Hypocrisy, But Unconscious Unreality.

God Does Not Make Us Holy In The Sense Of Character; He Makes Us Holy In The Sense Of Innocence, And We Have To Turn That Innocence Into Holy Character By A Series Of Moral Choices.

The Heart Of Salvation Is The Cross Of Christ. The Reason Salvation Is So Easy To Obtain Is That It Cost God So Much. The Cross Was The Place Where God And Sinful Man Merged With A Tremendous Collision And Where The Way To Life Was Opened. But All The Cost And Pain Of The Collision Was Absorbed By The Heart Of God.

Faith By Its Very Nature Must Be Tried, And The Real Trial Of Faith Is Not That We Find It Difficult To Trust God, But That God's Character Has To Be Cleared In Our Own Minds. Faith In Its Actual Working Out Has To Go Through Spells Of Unsyllabled Isolation. Never Confound The Trial Of Faith With The Ordinary Discipline Of Life. Much That We Call The Trial Of Faith Is The Inevitable Result Of Being Alive.

Worship Is Giving God The Best That He Has Given You. Be Careful What You Do With The Best You Have, Whenever You Get A Blessing From God, Give It Back To Him As A Love Gift. Take Time To Meditate Before God And Offer The Blessing Back To Him In A Deliberate Act Of Worship.

We Have No Right To Judge Where We Should Be Put, Or To Have Preconceived Notions As To What God Is Fitting Us For. God Engineers Everything; Wherever He Puts Us, Our One Great Aim Is To Pour Out A Whole-hearted Devotion To Him In That Particular Work. 'whatsoever Thy Hand Findeth To Do, Do It With Thy Might.'

The Test Is The Sixty Seconds Of Every Minute, And The Sixty Minutes Of Every Hour, Not Our Times Of Prayer And Devotional Meetings.

When We Preach The Love Of God There Is A Danger Of Forgetting That The Bible Reveals Not First The Love Of God But The Intense, Blazing Holiness Of God, With His Love At The Center Of That Holiness.

Our Lord’s Making Of A Disciple Is Supernatural. He Does Not Build On Any Natural Capacity Of Ours At All. Intercession Means That We Deliberately Substitute God’s Interests In Others For Our Natural Sympathy With Them.

Get To The End Of Yourself Where You Can Do Nothing, But Where He Does Everything.

See That You Do Not Use The Trick Of Prayer To Cover Up What You Know You Ought To Do.

If We Understood What Happens When We Use The Word Of God, We Would Use It Oftener.

One Man Or Woman Called Of God Is Worth A Hundred Who Have Elected To Work For God.

Jesus Christ Demands The Same Unrestrained, Adventurous Spirit In Those Who Have Placed Their Trust In Him That The Natural Man Exhibits. If A Person Is Ever Going To Do Anything Worthwhile, There Will Be Times When He Must Risk Everything By His Leap In The Dark.

It Is A Joy To Jesus When A Person Takes Time To Walk More Intimately With Him. The Bearing Of Fruit Is Always Shown In Scripture To Be A Visible Result Of An Intimate Relationship With Jesus Christ.

Prayer Is Often A Temptation To Bank On A Miracle Of God Instead Of On A Moral Issue, I.e., It Is Much Easier To Ask God To Do My Work Than It Is To Do It Myself. Until We Are Disciplined Properly, We Will Always Be Inclined To Bank On God's Miracles And Refuse To Do The Moral Thing Ourselves. It Is Our Job, And It Will Never Be Done Unless We Do It.
