Never Look For Justice In This World, Never Cease To Give It.

In Times Of Prosperity We Are Apt To Forget God; We Imagine It Does Not Matter Whether We Recognise Him Or Not. As Long As We Are Comfortably Clothed And Fed And Looked After, Our Civilisation Becomes An Elaborate Means Of Ignoring God.

Faith Never Knows Where It Is Being Led, It Knows And Loves The One Who Is Leading. Faith Is Not Resignation To A Power We Do Not Know; Faith Is Committal To One Whose Character We Do Know Because It Has Been Revealed To Us In Jesus Christ.

The Golden Rule For Understanding Spiritually Is Not Intellect, But Obedience. If A Man Wants Scientific Knowledge, Intellectual Curiosity Is His Guide; But If He Wants Insight Into What Jesus Christ Teaches, He Can Only Get It By Obedience.

Sanctification Means The Impartation Of The Holy Qualities Of Jesus Christ. It Is His Patience, His Love, His Holiness, His Faith, His Purity, His Godliness, That Is Manifested In And Through Every Sanctified Soul. Sanctification Is Not Drawing From Jesus The Power To Be Holy; It Is Drawing From Jesus The Holiness That Was Manifested In Him, And He Manifests It In Me.

The Real Business Of Your Life As A Saved Soul Is Intercessory Prayer.

Faith That Is Sure Of Itself Is Not Faith; Faith That Is Sure Of God Is The Only Faith There Is.

Abandonment To God Is Of More Value Than Personal Holiness!

Our Work Is Not To Save Souls, But To Disciple Them. Salvation And Sanctification Are The Work Of God's Sovereign Grace, And Our Work As His Disciples Is To Disciple Others' Lives Until They Are Totally Yielded To God. One Life Totally Devoted To God Is Of More Value To Him Than One Hundred Lives Which Have Been Simply Awakened By His Spirit. As Workers For God, We Must Reproduce Our Own Kind Spiritually, And Those Lives Will Be God's Testimony To Us As His Workers. God Brings Us Up To A Standard Of Life Through His Grace, And We Are Responsible For Reproducing That Same Standard In Others.

It Is Possible To Know All About Doctrine And Yet Not Know Jesus. The Soul Is In Danger When Knowledge Of Doctrine Outsteps Intimate Touch With Jesus. ....have I A Personal History With Jesus Christ? The One Sign Of Discipleship Is Intimate Connection With Him, A Knowledge Of Jesus Christ Nothing Can Shake.

Our Lord Never Referred To Unanswered Prayer. He Taught That Prayers Are Always Answered: “everyone Who Asks Receives”. And He Implied That Prayers Are Answered Rightly Because Of The Heavenly Father's Wisdom: “your Father Knows The Things You Have Need Of Before You Ask Him”.

The Prayer Of The Feeblest Saint Who Lives In The Spirit And Keeps Right With God Is A Terror To Satan. The Very Powers Of Darkness Are Paralyzed By Prayer; No Spiritualistic Seance Can Succeed In The Presence Of A Humble Praying Saint. No Wonder Satan Tries To Keep Our Minds Fussy In Active Work Till We Cannot Think In Prayer.

We Lean To Our Own Understanding, Or We Bank On Service And Do Away With Prayer, And Consequently By Succeeding In The External We Fail In The Eternal, Because In The Eternal We Succeed Only By Prevailing Prayer.

When We Are Abandoned To God, He Works Through Us All The Time.

The Dearest Friend On Earth Is A Mere Shadow Compared With Jesus Christ.

Measure Your Growth In Grace By Your Sensitiveness To Sin.

If You Have Become Bitter And Sour, It Is Because When God Gave You A Blessing You Hoarded It. Yet If You Had Poured It Out To Him, You Would Have Been The Sweetest Person On Earth. When People Really See Themselves As The Lord Sees Them, It Is Not The Terribly Offensive Sins Of The Fleshthat Shock Them, But The Awful Nature Of The Pride Of Their Own Hearts Opposing Jesus Christ. When They See Themselves In The Light Of The Lord, The Shame, The Horror, And Desperate Conviction Hit Home For Them.

Our Lord Did Not Say It Was Wrong To Pray In The Corners Of The Street, But He Did Say It Was Wrong To Have The Motive To "be Seen Of Men".

God Does Not Further Our Spiritual Life In Spite Of Our Circumstances, But In And By Our Circumstances.

If God Allows You To Be Stripped Of The Exterior Portions Of Your Life, He Means For You To Cultivate The Interior

We Must Never Put Our Dreams Of Success As God's Purpose For Us; His Purpose May Be Exactly The Opposite. His Purpose Is That I Depend On Him And In His Power Now. His End Is The Process. It Is The Process, Not The End, Which Is Glorifying To God....his Purpose Is For This Minute, Not For Something In The Future. We Have Nothing To Do With The 'afterwards' Of Obedience. If We Have A Further End In View, We Do Not Pay Sufficient Attention To The Immediate Present; If We Realize That Obedience Is The End, Then Each Moment As It Comes Is Precious.

One Of The Greatest Hindrances In Coming To Jesus Is The Excuse Of Temperament. We Make Our Temperament And Our Natural Affinities Barriers To Coming To Jesus.
