If God Gave You More, You Would Only Use It To Increase Your Own Comfort Instead Of Looking To See Who Is Sick Or Who Has No Work At All That You Might Help Them.

God Is Pleased Continually To Vary His Mode Of Dealing With Us, In Order That We May Not Be Tempted To Trust In Donors, Or In Circumstances, But In Him Alone, And To Keep Our Eye Fixed Upon Him.

The Vigor Of Our Spiritual Life Will Be In Exact Proportion To The Place Held By The Bible In Our Life And Thoughts.

Most Frequently We Fail In Not Continuing In Prayer Until The Blessing Is Obtained, And In Not Expecting The Blessing.

The Joy Which Answers To Prayer Give, Cannot Be Described; And The Impetus Which They Afford To The Spiritual Life Is Exceedingly Great.

The Greater The Trial, The Sweeter The Victory.

We Should Not Shrink From Opportunities Where Our Faith May Be Tried. The More I Am In A Position To Be Tried In Faith, The More I Will Have The Opportunity Of Seeing God’s Help And Deliverance. Every Fresh Instance In Which He Helps And Delivers Me Will Increase My Faith. The Believer Should Not Shrink From Situations, Positions, Or Circumstances In Which His Faith May Be Tried, But He Should Cheerfully Embrace Them As Opportunities To See The Hand Of God Stretched Out In Help And Deliverance. Thus His Faith Will Be Strengthened.

The Spirit And The Word Must Be Combined. If I Look To The Spirit Alone Without The Word, I Lay Myself Open To Great Delusions Also. If The Holy Ghost Guides Us At All, He Will Do It According To The Scriptures And Never Contrary To Them.

The Word Of God Is Our Only Standard, And The Holy Spirit Our Only Teacher.

Money Is Really Worth No More Than As It Can Be Used To Accomplish The Lord's Work. Life Is Worth As Much As It Is Spent For The Lord's Service.

The More I Am In A Position To Be Tried In Faith With Reference To My Body, My Family, My Service For The Lord, My Business, Etc., The More Shall I Have Opportunity Of Seeing God's Help And Deliverance; And Every Fresh Instance, In Which He Helps And Delivers Me, Will Tend Towards The Increase Of My Faith.

At Last I Saw Christ As My Saviour. I Believed In Him And Gave Myself To Him. The Burden Rolled From Off Me, And A Great Love For Christ Filled My Soul. That Was More Than Fifty Years Ago. As A Warning To Parents, I Mention That My Father Preferred Me To My Brother, Which Was Very Injurious To Both Of Us. To Me, As Tending To Produce In My Mind A Feeling Of Self-elevation; And To My Brother, By Creating In Him A Dislike Both Towards My Father And Me.

On The Ground Of Our Own Goodness We Cannot Expect To Have Our Prayers Answered. But Jesus Is Worthy, And For His Sake We May Have Our Prayers Answered. There Is Nothing Too Choice, Too Costly, Or Too Great For God To Give Him. He Is Worthy. He Is The Spotless, Holy Child, Who Under All Circumstances Acted According To The Mind Of God. And If We Trust In Him, If We Hide In Him, If We Put Him Forward And Ourselves In The Background, Depend On Him And Plead His Name, We May Expect To Have Our Prayers Answered.

When The Day Of Recompense Comes, Our Only Regret Will Be That We Have Done So Little For Him, Not That We Have Done Too Much.

Where Faith Begins, Anxiety Ends; Where Anxiety Begins, Faith End.

I Live In The Spirit Of Prayer. I Pray As I Walk About, When I Lie Down And When I Rise Up. And The Answers Are Always Coming.
