When God Overcomes Our Difficulties For Us, We Have The Assurance That We Are Engaged In His Work And Not Our Own

On The Ground Of Our Own Goodness We Cannot Expect To Have Our Prayers Answered. But Jesus Is Worthy, And For His Sake We May Have Our Prayers Answered. There Is Nothing Too Choice, Too Costly, Or Too Great For God To Give Him. He Is Worthy. He Is The Spotless, Holy Child, Who Under All Circumstances Acted According To The Mind Of God. And If We Trust In Him, If We Hide In Him, If We Put Him Forward And Ourselves In The Background, Depend On Him And Plead His Name, We May Expect To Have Our Prayers Answered.

Where Faith Begins, Anxiety Ends; Where Anxiety Begins, Faith End.

There Was A Day When I Died; Died To Self, My Opinions, Preferences, Tastes And Will; Died To The World, Its Approval Or Censure; Died To The Approval Or Blame Even Of My Brethren Or Friends; And Since Then I Have Studied Only To Show Myself Approved Unto God.

The Joy Which Answers To Prayer Give, Cannot Be Described; And The Impetus Which They Afford To The Spiritual Life Is Exceedingly Great.

If God Gave You More, You Would Only Use It To Increase Your Own Comfort Instead Of Looking To See Who Is Sick Or Who Has No Work At All That You Might Help Them.

Our Heavenly Father Never Takes Anything From His Children Unless He Means To Give Them Something Better.

I Live In The Spirit Of Prayer. I Pray As I Walk About, When I Lie Down And When I Rise Up. And The Answers Are Always Coming.

At Last I Saw Christ As My Saviour. I Believed In Him And Gave Myself To Him. The Burden Rolled From Off Me, And A Great Love For Christ Filled My Soul. That Was More Than Fifty Years Ago. A Child Rightly Trained May Be A World-wide Blessing, With An Influence Reaching Onward To Eternal Years. But A Neglected Or Misdirected Directed Child May Live To Blight And Blast Mankind, And Leave Influences Of Evil Which Shall Roll On In Increasing Volume Till They Plunge Into The Gulf Of Eternal Perdition.

We Should Not Shrink From Opportunities Where Our Faith May Be Tried. The More I Am In A Position To Be Tried In Faith, The More I Will Have The Opportunity Of Seeing God’s Help And Deliverance. Every Fresh Instance In Which He Helps And Delivers Me Will Increase My Faith. The Believer Should Not Shrink From Situations, Positions, Or Circumstances In Which His Faith May Be Tried, But He Should Cheerfully Embrace Them As Opportunities To See The Hand Of God Stretched Out In Help And Deliverance. Thus His Faith Will Be Strengthened.

Money Is Really Worth No More Than As It Can Be Used To Accomplish The Lord's Work. Life Is Worth As Much As It Is Spent For The Lord's Service.

If The Holy Spirit Guides Us, He Will Do It According To The Scriptures And Never Contrary To Them.

Christians Do Not Practically Remember That While We Are Saved By Grace, Altogether By Grace, So That In The Matter Of Salvation Works Are Altogether Excluded; Yet That So Far As The Rewards Of Grace Are Concerned, In The World To Come, There Is An Intimate Connection Between The Life Of The Christian Here And The Enjoyment And The Glory In The Day Of Christ's Appearing.

When The Day Of Recompense Comes, Our Only Regret Will Be That We Have Done So Little For Him, Not That We Have Done Too Much.

Be Assured That Christianity Is Something More Than Forms And Creeds And Ceremonies: There Is Life, And Power, And Reality, In Our Holy Faith.

It Is A Common Temptation Of Satan To Make Us Give Up The Reading Of The Word And Prayer When Our Enjoyment Is Gone; As If It Were Of No Use To Read The Scriptures When We Do Not Enjoy Them, And As If It Were Of No Use To Pray When We Have No Spirit Of Prayer...

Here Is The Great Secret Of Success. Work With All Your Might; But Trust Not In The Least In Your Work. Pray With All Your Might For The Blessing Of God; But Work, At The Same Time, With All Diligence, With All Patience, With All Perseverance. Pray Then, And Work. Work And Pray. And Still Again Pray, And Then Work. And So On All The Days Of Your Life. The Result Will Surely Be, Abundant Blessing. Whether You See Much Fruit Or Little Fruit, Such Kind Of Service Will Be Blessed.

The First Great And Primary Business To Which I Ought To Attend Every Day Is To Have My Soul Happy In The Lord.

God Delights To Increase The Faith Of His Children. We Ought, Instead Of Wanting No Trials Before Victory, No Exercise For Patience, To Be Willing To Take Them From God's Hands As A Means. Trials, Obstacles, Difficulties And Sometimes Defeats, Are The Very Food Of Faith.

Through Faith In The Lord Jesus Alone Can We Obtain Forgiveness Of Our Sins, And Be At Peace With God; But, Believing In Jesus, We Become, Through This Very Faith, The Children Of God; Have God As Our Father, And May Come To Him For All The Temporal And Spiritual Blessings Which We Need.

Only Let It Be Trust In God, Not In Man, Not In Circumstances, Not In Any Of Your Own Exertions, But Real Trust In God, And You Will Be Helped In Your Various Necessities... Not In Circumstances, Not In Natural Prospects, Not In Former Donors, But Solely In God. This Is Just That Which Brings The Blessing. If We Say We Trust In Him, But In Reality Do Not, Then God, Taking Us At Our Word, Lets Us See That We Do Not Really Confide In Him; And Hence Failure Arises. On The Other Hand, If Our Trust In The Lord Is Real, Help Will Surely Come.

God Is The Author Of The Bible, And Only The Truth It Contains Will Lead People To True Happiness.

The Word Of God Is Our Only Standard, And The Holy Spirit Our Only Teacher.

My Business Is, With All My Might To Serve My Own Generation; In Doing So I Shall Best Serve The Next Generation, Should The Lord Jesus Tarry... The Longer I Live, The More I Am Enabled To Realize That I Have But One Life To Live On Earth, And That This One Life Is But A Brief Life, For Sowing, In Comparison With Eternity, For Reaping.

The Beginning Of Anxiety Is The End Of Faith, And The Beginning Of True Faith Is The End Of Anxiety.

If We Desire Our Faith To Be Strengthened, We Should Not Shrink From Opportunities Where Our Faith May Be Tried, And Therefore, Through Trial, Be Strengthened.

If We Say We Trust In Him, But In Reality Do Not, Then God, Taking Us At Our Word, Lets Us See That We Do Not Really Confide In Him, And Hence Failure Arises.

Every Instance Of Obedience, From Right Motives, Strengthens Us Spiritually, Whilst Every Act Of Disobedience Weakens Us.

I Saw More Clearly Than Ever, That The First Great And Primary Business To Which I Ought To Attend Every Day Was, To Have My Soul Happy In The Lord. The First Thing To Be Concerned About Was Not, How Much I Might Serve The Lord, How I Might Glorify The Lord; But How I Might Get My Soul Into A Happy State, And How My Inner Man May Be Nourished...i Saw That The Most Important Thing I Had To Do Was To Give Myself To The Reading Of The Word Of God And To Meditation On It.

The Greater The Difficulty To Be Overcome, The More Will It Be Seen To The Glory Of God How Much Can Be Done By Prayer And Faith.

If Honest Of Heart And Uprightness Before God Were Lacking Or If I Did Not Patiently Wait On God For Instruction, Or If I Preferred The Counsel Of My Fellow-men To The Declarations Of The Word Of God, I Made Great Mistakes.

Now What Is Food For The Inner Man? Not Prayer, But The Word Of God; And Here Again, Not The Simple Reading Of The Word Of God, So That It Only Passes Through Our Minds, Just As Water Passes Through A Pipe, But Considering What We Read, Pondering It Over And Applying It To Our Hearts.

It Is Not Enough To Begin To Pray, Nor To Pray Aright; Nor Is It Enough To Continue For A Time To Pray; But We Must Patiently, Believingly, Continue In Prayer Until We Obtain An Answer; And Further We Have Not Only To Continue In Prayer Unto The End, But We Have Also To Believe That God Does Hear Us, And Will Answer Our Prayers. Most Frequently We Fail In Not Continuing In Prayer Until The Blessing Is Obtained, And In Not Expecting The Blessing.

God Judges What We Give By What We Keep.

Never Give Up Praying Until The Answer Comes.

There Is An Intimate Connection Between The Life Of The Christian Here And The Enjoyment And The Glory In The Day Of Christ's Appearing.
