Once I Chanted The Hare Krishna Mantra All The Way From France To Portugal, Nonstop. I Drove For About Twenty-three Hours And Chanted All The Way. It Gets You Feeling A Bit Invincible. The Funny Thing Was That I Didn't Even Know Where I Was Going. I Mean I Had Bought A Map, And I Knew Basically Which Way I Was Aiming, But I Couldn't Speak French, Spanish, Or Portuguese. But None Of That Seemed To Matter. You Know, Once You Get Chanting, Then Things Start To Happen Transcendentally.

Although I Have Guitars All Around And I Pick Themm Up Occasionally And Write A Tune And Make A Record, I Don't Really See Myself As A Musician. It May Seem A Funny Thing To Say. It's Just Like, I Write Lyrics Amd I Make Up Songs, But I'm Not A Great Lyricist Or Songwriter Or Producer. It's When You Put All These Things Together - That Makes Me.

You Know, Like, "is He Around Here?" You Realize After Some Time, "here He Is - Right Here!" It's A Matter Of Practice.

There's The Whole Significance Of Krishna As The Flute Player Who Awakens Our Consciousness. It Doesn't Necessarily Have To Be A Flute Because For Me It Was A Sitar Or A Guitar Or Even Elvis Presley Doing "heartbreak Hotel." It Was Like Krishna's Flute Calling Me Somewhere. It's Just Really Simple When We Can Remember.

I Know, By The Lord's Grace, I Am A Small Part In The Cosmic Play.

Everybody Would Like To Be Good, That's The Silly Thing, Everybody Always Likes It When They're Having A Nice Time Or When They're Happy Or When It's Sunny, They All Dig It; But Then They Go And Forget About It, They Never Really Try To Make It Nice. They Think That It Just Comes Along And It's Nice If You're Lucky, Or If You're Unlucky It's Bad For You.

Home Life Is Best For Me. But I Do Enjoy The Company Of Good Friends Whether From Long Ago Or Newer Friends Who Only Know Me As George, Not The Ex-beatle.

I'm Pessimistic About The Future Of The Planet. These Big Guys Don't Realize For Everything They Do, There's A Reaction. You Have To Pay. That's Karma.

People Have To Have The Desire Within Themselves To Find Out Who They Are. Who Am I And What Am I Doing Here And Where Am I Going? Those Sort Of Basic Questions. Even Without Picking Up A Book Or Anything. If They Just Ask Themselves That Sincerely, In The Quiet Of The Night, The Door Will Open.

Consciousness And Meditation Are Methods Where You Can Actually Obtain God Perception.
