Although Christ In My Mind Is An Absolute Yogi, I Think Many Christian Teachers Today Are Misrepresenting Christ. They're Supposed To Be Representing Jesus, But They're Not Doing It Very Well. They're Letting Him Down Very Badly, And That's A Big Turn Off.

Krishna Is God, So He's Absolute: His Name, His Form, Prasadam, It's All Him.

There's This Indian Fellow Who Worked Out A Cycle Like The Idea Of Stone-age, Bronze-age, Only He Did It On An Indian One. The Cycle Goes From Nothing Until Now And 20th Century And Then On And Right Around The Cycle Until The People Are Really Grooving And Then Just Sinks Back Into Ignorance Until It Gets Back Into The Beginning Again. So The 20th Century Is A Fraction Of That Cycle, And How Many Of Those Cycles Has It Done Yet? It's Done As Many As You Think And All These Times It's Been Through Exactly The Same Things, And It'll Be This Again.

So It's Really A Process Of Actually Having A Realization Of God, Which All Becomes Clear With The Expanded State Of Consciousness That Develops When You Chant.

Everyone Has To Suffer The Gimmicks And Other Stunts And Machinations When They're Starting Out - Only At The Time, It Doesn't Feel Like Suffering; It's Fun And Different Then. But A Little Fame Goes A Long Way, And Then One Tries To Cast Off Part Of The Heavy Burden - A Burden One Can Never Totally Escape.

In One Way, We're On An Upward Swing, But At The Same Time There's Still A Lot Of Evil That Goes On In The World. I Think It's Definitely Heading In A Better Direction, But It Seems To Take So Long For All The People With The Power, Who Control The Negative Side Of Life And All The Bad Inventions They Have Like Guns And Bombs And Hate. But There Has To Be A Balance. We've Got To All Try Harder To Manifest More Love In Order To Counteract All That.

We First Got Marijuana From An Older Drummer With Another Group In Liverpool. We Didn't Actually Try It Until After We'd Been To Hamburg. I Remember We Smoked It In The Band Room In A Gig In Southport And We All Learnt To Do The Twist That Night, Which Was Popular At The Time. We Were All Seeing If We Could Do It. Everybody Was Saying, 'this Stuff Isn't Doing Anything.' It Was Like That Old Joke Where A Party Is Going On And Two Hippies Are Up Floating On The Ceiling, And One Is Saying To The Other, 'this Stuff Doesn't Work, Man.'

While Everybody Else Was Going Mad, We Were Actually The Sanest People In The Whole Thing.

Although I Have Guitars All Around And I Pick Themm Up Occasionally And Write A Tune And Make A Record, I Don't Really See Myself As A Musician. It May Seem A Funny Thing To Say. It's Just Like, I Write Lyrics Amd I Make Up Songs, But I'm Not A Great Lyricist Or Songwriter Or Producer. It's When You Put All These Things Together - That Makes Me.

"hallelujah" Is A Joyous Expression The Christians Have, But "hare Krishna" Has A Mystical Side To It. It's More Than Just Glorifying God; It's Asking To Become His Servant. And Because Of The Way The Mantra Is Put Together, With The Mystic Spiritual Energy Contained In Those Syllables, It's Much Closer To God Than The Way Christianity Currently Seems To Be Representing Him.

We're As Much Influenced By Everybody Else As They Are By Us, If They Are. It's Just All A Part Of The Big Thing.

I Believe I Love My Guitar More Than The Others Love Theirs. For John And Paul, Songwriting Is Pretty Important And Guitar Playing Is A Means To An End. While They're Making Up New Tunes I Can Thoroughly Enjoy Myself Just Doodling Around With A Guitar For A Whole Evening. I'm Fascinated By New Sounds I Can Get From Different Instruments I Try Out. I'm Not Sure That Makes Me Particularly Musical. Just Call Me A Guitar Fanatic Instead, And I'll Be Satisfied.

We Laughed A Lot. That's One Thing We Forgot About For A Few Years - Laughing. When We Went Through All The Lawsuits, It Looked As If Everything Was Bleak, But When I Think Back To Before That, I Remember We Used To Laugh All The Time.
