When Judicial Activists Resort To Various Inventions And Theories To Impose Their Personal Views On Privacy And Liberty, They Jeopardize The Legitimacy Of The Judiciary As An Institution And Undermine The Role Of The Other Branches Of Government.

Utopianism Substitutes Glorious Predictions And Unachievable Promises For Knowledge, Science, And Reason, While Laying Claim To Them All.

John Kerry And The Other Democratic Leaders Are On The Wrong Side Of History, As They Were During The Reagan Presidency. If They Had Won The Day, And Reagan Had Failed, The Soviet Union Would Still Exist, As Would All The Harm And Suffering It Unleashed, And American Security Would Be Far Weaker As A Result. And If They Win This Election Thanks To A Promise To Undo The Reagan-bush Doctrine, Those Cheering Loudest Will Be The Most Evil-loving Among Us.

I Realized That Conservatism Was The Philosophy That Best Suited Me, With Its Emphasis On Individual Liberty, Personal Responsibility, And Merit.

The Intensive And Concerted Effort To Exclude References To Religion Or God From Public Places Is An Attack On Our Founding Principles. It's An Attempt To Bolster A Growing Reliance On The Government--especially The Judiciary--as The Source Of Our Rights. But If Our Rights Are Not Unalienable, If They Don't Come From A Source Higher Than Ourselves, Then They're Malleable At The Will Of The State. This Is A Prescription For Tyranny.

The Statist Has An Insatiable Appetite For Control. His Sights Are Set On His Next Meal Even Before He Has Fully Digested His Last. He Is Constantly Agitating For Government Action. And In Furtherance Of That Purpose, The Statist Speaks In The Tongue Of The Demagogue, Concocting One Pretext And Grievance After Another To Manipulate Public Perceptions And Build Popular Momentum For The Divestiture Of Liberty And Property From Its Rightful Possessors.

The Founders Believed, And The Conservative Agrees, In The Dignity Of The Individual; That We, As Human Beings, Have A Right To Live, Live Freely, And Pursue That Which Motivates Us Not Because Man Or Some Government Says So, But Because These Are God-given Natural Rights.

Class Warfare Or Soaking The So-called Rich May Make For Good Populist Demagoguery And Serve The Political Ends Of The Governing Masterminds, But It Does Nothing To Solve The Grave Realities Of The Federal Government's Insatiable Appetite For Spending And Its Inability To Reform Itself.

The Seventeenth Amendment Serves Not The Public's Interest But The Interests Of The Governing Masterminds And Their Disciples. Its Early Proponents Advanced It Not Because They Championed 'democracy' Or The Individual, But Because They Knew It Would Be One Of Several Important Mechanisms For Empowering The Federal Government And Unraveling Constitutional Republicanism.

Moreover, It Is Difficult To Reconcile Hobbes’s Distrust For The Individual With His Confidence In The Altruistic Nature Of The Individual Or Individuals Who Will Oversee And Control The Leviathan. The Statist Veils His Pursuits In Moral Indignation, Intoning In High Dudgeon The Injustices And Inequities Of Liberty And Life Itself, For Which Only He Can Provide Justice And Bring A Righteous Resolution.

The Conservative Sees In The Free Market The Harmony Of Interests And Rules Of Cooperation That Also Underlie The Civil Society.

We Should Remember That The Declaration Of Independence Is Not Merely A Historical Document. It Is An Explicit Recognition That Our Rights Derive Not From The King Of England, Not From The Judiciary, Not From Government At All, But From God. The Keystone Of Our System Of Popular Sovereignty Is The Recognition, As The Declaration Acknowledges, That 'all Men Are Created Equal' And 'endowed By Their Creator With Certain Unalienable Rights.' Religion And God Are No Alien To Our System Of Government, They're Integral To It.

Judicial Activists Are Nothing Short Of Radicals In Robes--contemptuous Of The Rule Of Law, Subverting The Constitution At Will, And Using Their Public Trust To Impose Their Policy Preferences On Society. In Fact, No Radical Political Movement Has Been More Effective In Undermining Our System Of Government Than The Judiciary. And With Each Supreme Court Term, We Hold Our Collective Breath Hoping The Justices Will Do No Further Damage, Knowing Full Well They Will Disappoint. Such Is The Nature Of Judicial Tyranny.

In The Civil Society, The Individual Is Recognized And Accepted As More Than An Abstract Statistic Or Faceless Member Of Some Group; Rather, He Is A Unique, Spiritual Being With A Soul And A Conscience.

The Conservative Does Not Despise Government. He Despises Tyranny. This Is Precisely Why The Conservative Reveres The Constitution And Insists On Adherence To It.

And It Makes You Wonder—how Can A People Incapable Of Selecting Their Own Lightbulbs And Toilets Possess Enough Competence To Vote For Their Own Rulers And Fill Out Complicated Tax Returns?

So Virtuous Are The Programs Said To Be - Pensions For The Elderly, Compensation For The Unemployed, Medicine For The Sick, And Assistance For The Disabled - Few Dare Ring The Alarm Of Looming Economic Catastrophe That Threatens To Destabilize The Civil Society.

Conservatism Is The Antidote To Tyranny. It's The Only One. It's Based On Thousands Of Years Of Human Experience. There Is Nothing Narrow About The Conservative Philosophy. It's A Liberating Philosophy. It Is A Magnificent Philosophy. It Is A Philosophy For The Ages, For All Times.
