It's Steeped In A True Spirit Of Individuality That Makes This Country. It's The Oldest Part Of Our Story, In A Way. And Being In That Climate, It Was Really Conducive To Letting Our Imaginations Soar. I Found It To Be The True Inspiration.

My Grandmother Was Also An Active Member Of The Tenants Association And A Staunch Supporter Of The Democratic Party, And Both Of My Parents Were Extremely Liberal, So I Think I Grew Up In A Household That Was Very Politically Conscious - We All Watched The Elections On Tv, And We Watched The Debates. So It Was An Awareness That We Were Raised With, And As We Grew Into Young Adults, We Just Naturally Became Politically Active. It Was Just Understood That It Was Important, That It Was Our Responsibility.

Contrary To Popular Belief, I'm Not Promiscuous. There Does Seem To Be A Mistaken Belief Out There That I Am Sexually Available Somehow Which Is Not To Say That I'm Not Open-minded About Sex.

I Like Taking Parts Where I'm Like: "i Don't Know How I'm Going To Do This Exactly But I Know I Can Do It." As Opposed To Doing Something Where You Go: "there's Nothing That I Can Contribute To This."

Improvisation Has Never Been My Strong Point.

I Don't Think There's Any Kind Of Preparation For Sudden Celebrity. I Think You Almost Have This Slight Nervous Breakdown When That Kind Of Media Attention Happens. I Mean, You're Doing The Same Kind Of Thing That You Do All The Time, Only You Have To Make These Weird Adjustments. Like, You're Buying A Slice Of Pizza And Somebody's Outside Photographing You Which Is Weird - That's Not Normal! It's Very Uncomfortable.

You Read Statistics All The Time Like, "13 Million People Are At Risk Because Of The Severe Drought In East Africa," But I Think Those Kinds Of Numbers Fall On Deaf Ears - There's So Much Devastation In The World, That It's A Bit Overwhelming For People.

I Went Through This Realization That Acting, At Its Heart, Is The Ability To Manipulate Your Own Emotions.
