If A Parishioner Does Not Like The Preaching, He Can Go Elsewhere And Get Another Pew, But The Preacher Cannot Get Another Soul.

The True Church Is Not An Institution To Be Kept Apart From The World Because The World "is Common And Unclean," But A Vital Heart Of Truth And Love, Beating With The Life Of Jesus, And Sending Abroad Its Sanctifying Pulsations Until Nothing Shall Be Common And Unclean.

The Greatest Successes Grow Out Of Great Failures. In Numerous Instances The Result Is Better That Comes After A Series Of Abortive Experiences Than It Would Have Been If It Had Come At Once; For All These Successive Failures Induce A Skill Which Is So Much Additional Power Working Into The Final Achievement....
