During The Last Two Years The Wealthiest 14 Americans Saw Their Wealth Increase By $157 Billion. This Is Truly Unbelievable. This $157 Billion Increase In Wealth Among 14 Individuals Is More Wealth That Is Owned, Collectively, By 130 Million Americans. This Country Does Not Survive Morally, Economically Or Politically When So Few Have So Much, And So Many Have So Little.

This Country Is Never Going To Move Forward Unless We End Republican Rule In The House And Senate.

We Are Going To Do Everything That We Can To Protect Working Families In This Country.

Didn't Go As Far As I Wanted. But That's 83 Percent Of The Population In This Country.

In Terms Of Media, We Did Not Get The Kind Of Media Attention That Somebody Like A Donald Trump Got, Because Media Is Not Necessarily Interested In The Issues Facing The Middle Class, More Interested In Attacks In Personality. So I Think There Were A Lot Of Reasons.

When The Average Social Security Benefit Is $1328 A Month, And More Than One-third Of Our Senior Citizens Rely On Social Security For Virtually All Of Their Income, Our Job Is To Expand Benefits, Not Cut Them.

I Have One Of The Strongest Records In Fighting For Senior Citizens. I Led The Effort To Prevent Cuts To Social Security. But I Think For Some Seniors, They Remember The "evil Empire" Of The Soviet Union. They Conflated The Term "democratic Socialism" With Communism.

Here Is What The Practical Impact Of Citizens United Means. What Citizens United Means Is That Corporations Call Hundreds Of Millions Of Dollars Into Television Ads, Radio Ads, And Other Forms Of Advertising To Defeat Those Candidates Who Stand Up And Take Them On.

The Reality Is We That Have A Corrupt Campaign Finance System Which Separates The American People's Needs And Desires From What Congress Is Doing. So To My Mind, What We Have Got To Do Is Wage A Political Revolution Where Millions Of People Have Given Up On The Political Process, Stand Up And Fight Back, Demand The Government That Represents Us And Not Just A Handful Of Campaign Contribution - Contributors.

All That I Can Say Is That We Are Spending Far More Per Capita Than People In Any Other Country, And Our Health Care Outcomes Are In Many Cases Worse In Terms Of Life Expectancy, Infant Mortality And So Forth.
