Above Thought Is The Intellect, Which Still Seeks: It Goes About Looking, Spies Out Here And There, Picks Up And Drops. But Above The Intellect That Seeks Is Another Intellect Which Does Not Seek But Stays In Its Pure, Simple Being, Which Is Embraced In That Light.

The Soul Does Not Grow By Addition But By Subtraction.

God Is In All Things, But So Far As God Is Divine And So Far As He Is Rational, God Is Nowhere So Properly As In The Soul - In The Innermost Of The Soul

It Is Our Duty To Do The Next Thing: Go Straight On, That Is The Right Way.

Even Stones Have A Love, A Love That Seeks The Ground.

Whoever Has God Truly As A Companion, Is With Him In All Places, Both On The Streets, And Among People, As Well As In Church, Or In The Desert Or In A Monastic Cell...why Is This So? It Is So Because Such A Person Possesses God Alone, Keeping Their Gaze Fixed Upon God, And Thus All Things Become God For Him Or Her. Such People Be A God In All Their Deeds And In All The Places They Go, And It Is God Alone Who Is The Author Of All Their Deeds.

God Is Like A Person Who Clears His Throat While Hiding And So Gives Himself Away. God Lies In Wait For Us With Nothing So Much As Love.

God Is Intelligence Occupied With Knowing Itself.

The Knower And The Known Are One. Simple People Imagine That They Should See God As If He Stood There And They Here. This Is Not So. God And I, We Are One In Knowledge.

God Is Nearer To Me Than I Am To Myself; He Is Just As Near To Wood And Stone, But They Do Not Know It.

What Does God Do All Day Long? He Gives Birth. From The Beginning Of Eternity, God Lies On A Maternity Bed Giving Birth To All. God Is Creating This Whole Universe Full And Entire In This Present Moment.

Even Now One Rarely Hears Of People Achieving Great Things Unless They First Stumble In Some Respect.

Wisdom Consists In Doing The Next Think You Have To Do, Doing It With Your Whole Heart, And Finding Delight In Doing It.

God Is Not Found In The Soul By Adding Anything But By A Process Of Subtraction.

Jesus Went Into The Temple And Boldly Drove Out Those That Bought And Sold. And When All Was Cleared, There Was Nobody Left But Jesus. Observe This, For It Is The Same With Us: When He Is Alone He Is Able To Speak In The Temple Of The Soul. If Anyone Else Is Speaking In The Temple Of Your Soul, Jesus Will Keep Still, As If He Were Not At Home. And He Is Not At Home Wherever There Are Strange Guests-guests With Whom The Soul Holds Conversation, Guests Who Are Seeking To Bargain. If Jesus Is To Speak And Be Heard, The Soul Must Be Alone And Quiet.

To Grasp God In All Things--this Is The Sign Of Your New Birth.

I Tell You The Truth, Any Object You Have In Your Mind, However Good, Will Be A Barrier Between You And The Inmost Truth.

It Is A Fair Trade And An Equal Exchange: To The Extent That You Depart From Things, Thus Far, No More And No Less, God Enters Into You With All That Is His, As Far As You Have Stripped Yourself Of Yourself In All Things. It Is Here That You Should Begin, Whatever The Cost, For It Is Here That You Will Find True Peace, And Nowhere Else.

And So, Too, I Speak Of Love: He Who Is Held By It Is Held By The Strongest Of Bonds, And Yet The Stress Is Pleasant. Moreover, He Can Sweetly Bear All That Happens To Him. When One Has Found This Bond, He Looks For No Other.

In This Breaking-through, I Receive That God And I Are One. Then I Am What I Was, And Then I Neither Diminish Nor Increase, For I Am Then An Immovable Cause That Moves All Things.

When I Think Of God's Kingdom, I Am Compelled To Be Silent Because Of Its Immensity, Because God's Kingdom Is None Other Than God Himself With All His Riches.

Nothing Is Sharper Than Suffering, Nothing Is Sweeter Than To Have Suffered.

Saint Augustine Says, Those Who Seek And Find, Find Not. He Who Seeks And Finds Not, He Alone Finds. Saint Paul Says, What I Was, Was Not I, It Was God In Me.

As Long As I Am This Or That, I Am Not All Things.

Love Is As Strong As Death, As Hard As Hell. Death Separates The Soul From The Body, But Love Separates All Things From The Soul.

There Is No Stopping Place In This Life--nor Is There Ever One For Any Person, No Matter How Far Along The Way One's Gone.

When I Experience Love I Must Go To God. When I Experience Non-attachment God Must Come To Me.

My Children, Mark Me. I Pray You. Know! God Loves My Soul So Much That His Very Life And Being Depend Upon His Loving Me, Whether He Would Or No. To Stop God Loving Me Would Be To Rob Him Of His Godhood; For God Is Love No Less Than He Is Truth; As He Is Good, So Is He Love As Well. It Is The Absolute Truth, As God Lives... If Anyone Would Ask Me What God Is, I Should Answer: God Is Love, And So Altogether Lovely That Creatures All With One Accord Essay To Love His Loveliness, Whether They Do So Knowingly Or Unbeknownst, In Joy Or Sorrow.

To The Quiet Mind All Things Are Possible.

What A Man Takes In By Contemplation, That He Pours Out In Love.

A Just Person Is One Who Is Conformed And Transformed Into Justice.

Relation Is The Essence Of Everything That Exists.

That's All An Angel Is....an Idea Of God.

Knowledge Comes Through Likeness. And So Because The Soul May Know Everything, It Is Never At Rest Until It Comes To The Original Idea, In Which All Things Are One. And There It Comes To Rest In God.

A Question Arises Regarding The Angels Who Dwell With Us, Serve Us And Protect Us, Whether Their Joys Are Equal To Those Of The Angels In Heaven, Or Whether They Are Diminished By The Fact That They Protect And Serve Us. No, They Are Certainly Not; For The Work Of The Angels Is The Will Of God, And The Will Of God Is The Work Of The Angels; Their Service To Us Does Not Hinder Their Joy Nor Their Working. If God Told An Angel To Go To A Tree And Pluck Caterpillars Off It, The Angel Would Be Quite Ready To Do So, And It Would Be His Happiness, If It Were The Will Of God.

Protect And Serve

We Shall Find God In Everything Alike, And Find God Always Alike In Everything.

The Seed Of God Is In Us. Given An Intelligent And Hard-working Farmer, It Will Thrive And Grow Up To God, Whose Seed It Is; And Accordingly Its Fruits Will Be God-nature. Pear Seeds Grow Into Pear Trees, Nut Seeds Into Nut Trees, And God-seed Into God.

When You Are Thwarted, It Is Your Own Attitude That Is Out Of Order

Positive Attitude

Some People Want To See God With Their Eyes As They See A Cow, And To Love Him As They Love A Cow - For The Milk And Cheese And Profit It Brings Them. This Is How It Is With People Who Love God For The Sake Of Outward Wealth Or Inward Comfort. They Do Not Rightly Love God, When They Love Him For Their Own Advantage.

The Most Important Hour Is Always The Present. The Most Significant Person Is Precisely The One Sitting Across From You Right Now. The Most Necessary Work Is Always Love.

People Should Not Worry As Much About What They Do But Rather About What They Are. If They And Their Ways Are Good, Then Their Deeds Are Radiant. If You Are Righteous, Then What You Do Will Also Be Righteous. We Should Not Think That Holiness Is Based On What We Do But Rather On What We Are, For It Is Not Our Works Which Sanctify Us But We Who Sanctify Our Works.

A Man May Go Into The Field And Say His Prayer And Be Aware Of God, Or He May Be In Church And Be Aware Of God; But If He Is More Aware Of Him Because He Is In A Quiet Place, That Is His Own Deficiency And Not Due To God, Who Is Alike Present In All Things And Places, And Is Willing To Give Himself Everywhere So Far As Lies In Him... He Knows God Rightly Who Knows Him Everywhere.

For A Heart To Be Perfectly Ready It Has To Be Perfectly Empty. In This Condition It Has Attained Its Maximum Capacity.

The Soul At Its Highest Is Found Like God, But An Angel Gives A Closer Idea Of Him. That Is All An Angel Is: An Idea Of God.

Man Goes Far Away Or Near But God Never Goes Far-off; He Is Always Standing Close At Hand, And Even If He Cannot Stay Within He Goes No Further Than The Door.

The Outward Work Can Never Be Small If The Inward One Is Great, And The Outward Work Can Never Be Great Or Good If The Inward Is Small Or Of Little Worth.

The Very Best And Noblest Attainment In This Life Is To Be Silent And Let God Work And Speak Within. Therefore It Is Said: 'in The Midst Of Silence The Secret Word Was Spoken To Me'.
