If You Want To Run For The United States Senate, You Hire A Consultant Who Will Do Polling For You, Who Will Tell You The Kinds Of Television Ads You Should Run, Who Will Tell You That Most Of The Money You Raise Has Got To Go Into Tv. Raising Money, And Then Putting That Money Into The Hands Of Consultants, Who Then Put On Tv Ads - That's More Or Less What Campaigns Are About. We've Got To Change That.

If You Look At Our Records, I Stood Up To Corporate America Time And Time Again. I Went To Mexico. I Saw The Lives Of People Who Were Working In American Factories And Making $0.25 An Hour.

We Have More People In Jail Than Any Other Country In Earth, Disproportionately Latino And African-american.

It Costs A Hell Of A Lot More Money To Put Somebody In Jail Than Send Them To The University Of Virginia.

At A Time When The Average Student Is Graduating From A Four-year College $27,000 In Debt, When Hundreds Of Thousands Of Capable Young People No Longer See College As An Option Because Of High Costs And When The U.s. Is Falling Further And Further Behind Our Economic Competitors In Terms Of The Percentage Of Young People Graduating From College, No Agreement Should Be Passed Which, Over A Period Of Years, Makes A Bad Situation Worse And Will Make College Even Less Affordable Than It Is Today.

People Are Tired Of Working Longer Hours For Lower Wages, Of Seeing Decent Paying Jobs Go To China And Other Low-wage Countries, Of Billionaires Not Paying Any Federal Income Taxes And Of Not Being Able To Afford A College Education For Their Kids - All While The Very Rich Become Much Richer.

Nobody Who Works 40 Hours A Week Should Be Living In Poverty.

Social Security Has Nothing To Do With The Deficit.

Instead Of Fighting Isis, (the Saudis) Have Focused More On A Campaign To Oust Iran-backed Houthi Rebels In Yemen.

Donald Trump Is Toast.

Please Don't Suggest That I Think We Normalize Relations With Tehran Tomorrow. We Don't. But I Would Like To See Us Move Forward, And Hopefully Some Day That Will Happen.

The Billionaires And Their Super Pacs Increasingly Control The American Political Process. This Is Not Democracy. This Is Not What Brave Americans Fought And Died To Defend. This Is Oligarchy.
