Unfortunately There Was One Thing That The White South Feared More Than Negro Dishonesty, Ignorance, And Incompetency, And That Was Negro Honesty, Knowledge, And Efficiency.

Believe In Life! Always Human Beings Will Live And Progress To Greater, Broader, And Fuller Life.

No People Can More Exactly Interpret The Inmost Meaning Of The Present Situation In Ireland Than The American Negro. The Scheme Is Simple. You Knock A Man Down And Then Have Him Arrested For Assault. You Kill A Man And Then Hang The Corpse.

I Believe In Pride Of Race And Lineage And Self: In Pride Of Self So Deep As To Scorn Injustice To Other Selves; In Pride Of Lineage So Great As To Despise No Man's Father; In Pride Of Race So Chivalrous As Neither To Offer Bastardy To The Weak Nor Beg Wedlock Of The Strong, Knowing That Men May Be Brothers In Christ, Even Though They Be Not Brothers-in-law.

This The American Black Man Knows: His Fight Here Is A Fight To The Finish. Either He Dies Or Wins. If He Wins It Will Be By No Subterfuge Or Evasion Of Amalgamation . He Will Enter Modern Civilization Here In America As A Black Man On Terms Of Perfect And Unlimited Equality With Any White Man, Or He Will Enter Not At All. Either Extermination Root And Branch, Or Absolute Equality. There Can Be No Compromise. This Is The Last Great Battle Of The West.

The Negro Cannot Stand The Present Reactionary Tendencies And Unreasoning Drawing Of The Color Line Indefinitely Without Discouragement And Retrogression. And The Condition Of The Negro Is Ever The Cause For Further Discrimination.

How Hard A Thing Is Life To The Lowly And Yet How Human And Real Is It? And All This Life And Love And Strife And Failure, - Is It The Twilight Of Nightfall Or The Flush Of Some Faint-dawning Day?
