The Gospel Of Life Is Not For Believers Alone: It Is For Everyone. The Issue Of Life And Its Defense And Promotion Is Not A Concern Of The Christian Alone. The Legal Toleration Of Abortion Or Of Euthanasia Can In No Way Claim To Be Based On Respect For The Conscience Of Others, Precisely Because Society Has The Right And The Duty To Protect Itself Against The Abuses Which Can Occur In The Name Of Conscience And Under The Pretext Of Freedom.

For A Consensus To End The Death Penalty, Which Is Both Cruel And Unnecessary.

Chastity Is A Difficult Long Term Matter, One Must Wait Patiently For It To Bear Fruit For The Happiness Of Loving Kindness Which It Must Bring. But At The Same Time Chastity Is The Sure Way To Happiness.

The Universality Of Salvation Means That It Is Granted Not Only To Those Who Explicitly Believe In Christ And Have Entered The Church. Since Salvation Is Offered To All, It Must Be Made Concretely Available To All.

With The Persistence Of Tensions And Conflicts In Various Parts Of The World, The International Community Must Never Forget What Happened At Hiroshima And Nagasaki, As A Warning And In Incentive To Develop Truly Effective And Peaceful Means Of Settling Tensions And Disputes. It Is A Caricature Of Freedom To Claim That People Are Free To Organize Their Lives With No Reference To Moral Values, And To Say That Society Does Not Have To Ensure The Protection And Advancement Of Ethical Values. Such An Attitude Is Destructive Of Freedom And Peace.
