These Shared Beliefs Helped Forge A Sense Of Common Purpose Among The Widely Dispersed Colonies - A Sense Of Community Which Laid The Foundation For The Spirit Of Nationhood That Was To Develop In Later Decades.

I Have Seen The Rise Of Fascism And Communism. Both Philosophies Glorify The Arbitrary Power Of The State... But Both Theories Fail. Both Deny Those God-given Liberties That Are The Inalienable Right Of Each Person On This Planet, Indeed, They Deny The Existence Of God.

I Believe Moses Was 80 When God First Commissioned Him For Public Service.

We Are A Nation That Has A Government-not The Other Way Around. And That Makes Us Special Among The Nations Of The Earth.

In Opening Our Hearts, We Hope This Might Promote Greater Awareness Of This Condition. Perhaps It Will Encourage A Clearer Understanding Of The Individuals And Families Who Are Affected By It.

Every Now And Then When I Was In Government, I Would Remind My Associates That "when We Start Thinking Of Government As 'us' Instead Of 'them,' We've Been Here Too Long." By That I Mean That Elected Officeholders Need To Retain A Certain Skepticism About The Perfectibility Of Government.

Respect For Human Rights Is Not Social Work; It Is Not Merely An Act Of Compassion. It Is The First Obligation Of Government And The Source Of Its Legitimacy.

There Is A Limit To What You Can Do In Politics.

The Thought Of Being President Frightens Me And I Do Not Think I Want The Job.
