Another Name For Peace Is Development.

When A Parliamentary Or Social Majority Decrees That It Is Legal, At Least Under Certain Conditions, To Kill Unborn Human Life, Is It Not Really Making A Tyrannical Decision With Regard To The Weakest And Most Defenseless Of Human Beings?....while Public Authority Can Sometimes Choose Not To Put A Stop To Something Which Were It Prohibited Would Cause More Serious Harm, It Can Never Presume To Legitimize As A Right Of Individuals Even If They Are The Majority Of The Members Of Society An Offense Against Other Persons Caused By The Disregard Of So Fundamental A Right As The Right To Life.

The Church Imposes Nothing; She Only Proposes, She Proposes Like A Lover To The Beloved.

All Of Us Experience The Sad Effects Of Blind Submission To Consumerism. In The First Place It Represents Crass Materialism. At The Same Time It Represents A Radical Dissatisfaction Because One Quickly Learns That The More One Possesses, The More One Wants, While Deeper Aspirations Remain Unsatisfied And Perhaps Even Stifled.

For A Stalk To Grow Or A Flower To Open There Must Be Time That Cannot Be Forced; Nine Months Must Go By For The Birth Of A Human Child; To Write A Book Or Compose Music Often Years Must Be Dedicated To Patient Research ...to Find The Mystery There Must Be Patience, Interior Purification, Silence, Waiting.

Laws Which Authorize And Promote Abortion And Euthanasia Are Therefore Radically Opposed Not Only To The Good Of The Individual But Also To The Common Good; As Such They Are Completely Lacking In Authentic Juridical Validity. Disregard For The Right To Life, Precisely Because It Leads To The Killing Of The Person Whom Society Exists To Serve, Is What Most Directly Conflicts With The Possibility Of Achieving The Common Good. Consequently, A Civil Law Authorizing Abortion Or Euthanasia Ceases By That Very Fact To Be A True, Morally Binding Civil Law.

Original Sin Is Not Only The Violation Of A Positive Command … But … Attempts … To Abolish Fatherhood, Destroying Its Rays Which Permeate The Created World, Placing In Doubt The Truth About God Who Is Love And Leaving Man With Only A Sense Of The Master-slave Relationship.

...if Desire Is Predominant It Can Deform Love Between Man And Woman And Rob Them Both Of It.

Abortion, Euthanasia, Human Cloning, For Example, Risk Reducing The Human Person To A Mere Object: Life And Death To Order, As It Were!

We Christians Joyfully Recognize The Religious Values We Have In Common With Islam. I Would Like To Repeat What I Said To Young Muslims Some Years Ago In Casablanca: 'we Believe In The Same God, The One God, The Living God, The God Who Created The World And Brings His Creatures To Their Perfection.

Every Effort To Make Society Sensitive To The Importance Of The Family, Is A Great Service To Humanity.

People Are Made For Happiness. Rightly, Then, You Thirst For Happiness. Christ Has The Answer To This Desire Of Yours. But He Asks You To Trust Him.

In This Silence Of The White Host, Carried In The Monstrance, Are All His Words; There Is His Whole Life Given In Offering To The Father For Each Of Us; There Is Also The Glory Of The Glorified Body, Which Started With The Resurrection, And Still Continues In Heavenly Union.

Faith Leads Us Beyond Ourselves. It Leads Us Directly To God.

You, Too, Be Courageous! The World Needs Convinced And Fearless Witnesses. It Is Not Enough To Discuss, It Is Necessary To Act!

Learning To Think Rigorously, So As To Act Rightly And To Serve Humanity Better.
